The Red Baron Ball has continued to receive generous support since 1989. The event begins with a social and silent auction followed by an exquisite dinner, including local wine and a fabulous dessert. After dinner, guests enjoy an entertaining live auction and dancing to live music.
The Red Baron Ball’s History
Family Health West’s first Red Baron Ball was held in the West Star Aviation hangar at the Grand Junction Regional Airport in 1989. The runways were lined with 1940s era biplanes and various other aircraft. A B-1B Lancer was flown in for the occasion and the hangar doors were open as a harvest moon rose above the Grand Mesa. Known for its impressive auction items, the event has grown to become one of the community’s premier events, selling out each year.
