Family Health West's OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEPARTMENT addresses everyday function and uses individualized procedures and activities that are designed to help people regain and build skills that are important for health, security and well-being.  Our Caring Staff provides services to individuals of all ages who have physical, developmental, emotional or social deficits, and because of these conditions, need specialized assistance in learning skills to enable them to lead independent, productive, satisfying lives.

Our well trained Caring Staff uses Individualized Procedures and activities to:

  • Develop, maintain, improve and/or restore the performance of necessary functions
  • Compensate for dysfunction
  • Promote Safety, Health and Wellness

Impairment may occur in activities of daily living.  Occupational Therapy addresses sensory, motor, cognitive, and psychological components which are the roots of difficulty in performance areas such as Self-Care, leisure, and Work.

Our therapists use a team approach to help each unique individual.  "Our caring therapists understand that each of our patients is unique, we provide the personal attention, caring and compassion necessary to assure each individual's well-being."  Our goal is to use individualized procedures and activities to help our patients return to optimal functioning; prevent unnecessary declines in their daily functioning; develop, maintain, improve or restore the performance of necessary daily functions such as dressing, grooming, etc. and to assist them to compensate for dysfunction, minimize or prevent debilitation and to PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS - ultimately, the Highest Quality of Life and Functioning.

Our Compassionate Therapists provide rehabilitation services for Acute Care and Medicare Skilled Care Hospital Patients and Outpatients.

Family Health West has the advantage of being a smaller facility offering individualized, convenient Outpatient Care with a Personal Touch.  Services are available to individuals of all ages in our community.  All pay sources are accepted.  As a courtesy, our Admissions staff will bill insurance companies for patient services.
