THE WILLOWS,
Family Health West's
Secure Assisted Living
residence, is a Unique, 24-unit residence
for Seniors and Elderly experiencing Alzheimer's, Dementia,
Confusion, and Related Disease. It's designed in an elegant,
personal and family setting for individuals who don't require the full
services of a long-term care nursing home.
Our mission at The Willows is to provide a physically
and emotionally safe environment that will enrich the Quality of Life
of our residents with Alzheimer's, related Dementias or Cognitive Loss. By having
a small number of residents, we can assure that we meet the unique
personal and social needs of each individual.
People with Alzheimer's Disease and related Dementias require Very Special Care and
Individualized Attention in a Nurturing
Environment.
At The Willows, we understand the special
needs of our residents
and
their families. Dealing with the issues surrounding Alzheimer's
and Dementia is difficult and demanding for everyone involved. We
incorporate a Family Lifestyle into a Dignified and Comfortable Residential
Setting.
Each private unit has a living area / bedroom with bay
window, and a private bath. Common areas include dining room,
living room, hobby room, activity area, patio and sun room.
Residents also enjoy watching beautiful birds in our unique aviary.
The Willows uses a Social Model
approach and Philosophy of Care for individuals with Alzheimer's,
Dementia and Confusion. The Willows offers an Expanded
Family Environment that individually enhances the Quality of Life
of each resident and offers an Alternative to Loneliness.
We offer
Meaningful
Activities and Pleasant Surroundings where Stimulation, Wellness and
Fun are the focal points - thus adding Life and Fun to their
"Autumn Years." The Willows utilizes a Functional
Maintenance Concept of Care, which means that we are committed to
keeping each of our residents functioning as long as possible in the areas of daily
self-care, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, etc., at their highest
possible level. Care is provided to assist the resident to reverse
declines if possible, and to improve or maintain their very highest
Level of Functioning and Independence.
